Cory

[BLOG] - Hi Cory, thank you for this opportunity to interview you. To start with, please tell us how you got into modeling?

[Cory] - Firstly, I’d like to say thank you for the opportunity of being interviewed for your blog! Modeling sounds very attractive for many if not most of the gay guys in Poland. How did you get into this business. I first started modeling when I was hired at Abercrombie&Fitch. One of the brand's recruiters discovered me there. They sent me to Maine for my first photo shoot with them.  How I got into underwear modeling was a bit different. I was visiting Los Angeles for Halloween. Andrew Christian himself came up to me asking if I would be interested in modeling for his company. Of course, I said yes! Who wouldn’t?

[BLOG] - Andrew Christin is a well-recognized brand. It must be very interesting to work for this brand.

[Cory] - Andrew Christian is an amazing brand to work for! I’ve been a model for them for almost 7 years now. That’s how much I enjoy being a part of the team. Woking for Andrew Christian is more than just modeling I’ve been all around the world because of them and I’ve seen more cities and have met more interesting and inspiring people than I could have ever imagined. Andrew Christian is the most recognizable and socially responsible LGBTQ companies and I am so proud to be an openly gay voice for the company and for the LGBTQ movement.

[BLOG] -What is your training routine? Do you often go to the gym?

[Cory] - My training routine is a bit sporadic but I try to go to the gym at least 4 times a week. Some days I just do cardio and others I include weight lifting exercises. My favorite machine that I use is the weight cables as it really works out many different parts of your body.  The main thing to remember about working is consistently going to the gym even if you don't feel like it.

[BLOG] - I have to ask you about your family name, it somehow sounds very familiar, very Polish. Do you have Polish ancestors?

[Cory] - My name is VERY Polish. My grandfather came to the United States as a teenager. He taught me a few polish words as a child. I only remember “Cześć“ which means hello. I would love to visit Poland one day and learn more about my ancestral history.

[BLOG] - What three things would like to take with you on a deserted island?

[Cory] - Let’s see three things to bring with me on a deserted island.
    1.  I would have to bring a friend or I’d go crazy with boredom.
    2. Definitely an endless supply of drinking water.
    3. A Swiss Army knife for protection and to build a shelter.

[BLOG] - Who is your role model?

[Cory] - My most influential role model has to be designer Andrew Christian as he really has done so much for the LGBTQ community. Andrew was one of the first openly gay and unashamed clothing designers who took a huge risk professionally when he decided to design specifically for the LGBTQ community. Also, he was the first clothing designer to be called an "underwear designer"...he actually invented the category of designer underwear.  But more importantly, he really does so much more for the community that no one even knows about from volunteering his time to donating over $100,000 of his own money to different LGBTQ charities.  He is also great to work with and is always very professional and responsible.

[BLOG] - Cory, thank you very much for your time and we wish you good luck. And if you travel to Poland, let us know.
